PAGE FAULT – Microsoft Windows XP / Vista / 7 / 8 / 10
Stop Error – STOP 0x00000050 or PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
Cause – A hardware driver or system service requested data that was not in memory. It may be related to defective physical memory or incompatible software, especially remote control and antivirus programs.
Step 1a – Boot into Safe Mode.
Step 2a – Remove the latest driver from Device Manager or software you previously installed. Then Reboot.
Step 3a – Disable any remote control and Uninstall your antivirus. Then Reboot.
Still having trouble??? Then Try the following.
Step 1b – Boot into Safe Mode.
Step 2b – Go to Control Panel > Windows Memory Diagnostic or type mdsched.exe into the Start Menu/Cortana search.
Step 3b – Boot and let Memory Diagnostic Run.
(For PCs with dual channel RAM or multiple sticks of RAM)
Step 1b – Shut your PC off, On Some PC’s the power supply will include an Analogue switch verify it is in the O for OFF Position before disconnecting power cable to the supply.
Disconnect the Power to your Power Supply.
Step 2b – Remove a single stick of RAM and Power On your PC.
(Note – If you have the same Stop Error shut your PC down and try replacing the next stick of RAM Repeat Sequence as needed.)
